A Partnership with Purpose: Learner Agency

At The Learning Quest, we believe that education should be learner-centered, curiosity-driven, and rooted in community. That’s why our partnership with the CARE Education Foundation just makes sense.

Both of our organisations are working to reimagine education—not as a rigid system, but as a living, breathing ecosystem where every learner has the agency, support, and opportunity to thrive.

Together, we’re starting something powerful.

It Begins with the Everything Library

One of our first collaborative projects is the Everything Library—a place-based initiative where students, families, and community members can access and borrow tools, games, instruments, books, and materials to support hands-on learning, creativity, and repair.

But the Everything Library is just the beginning.

As we co-design this initiative, we’re setting the stage for something much larger: a community-wide infrastructure that supports learning everywhere, not just in schools. It’s the visible entry point into a broader vision—one where learning happens through doing, creating, fixing, mentoring, exploring, and questioning.

Why CARE + The Learning Quest?

The CARE Education Foundation brings a unique energy to this partnership. With its global movement to ignite Collaborative, Rigorous, Experiential learning, it aligns perfectly with our mission to build open-walled learning ecosystems.

CARE provides scholarships, microgrants, and platforms for learners to lead their own initiatives. It certifies educators and learners alike in practices that promote meaningful engagement. And through the CAREvolution, it connects changemakers around the world in a growing network of learner-led, community-rooted action.

Our work at The Learning Quest complements this by creating proof points and practical models—like the Everything Library, Fix-It Clinics, the Education Passport, and city-wide learning challenges. These efforts serve as local prototypes for what learner-centered ecosystems can look like in action.

Together, we move faster, go deeper, and stay focused on what matters most: giving learners real agency in shaping their lives and communities.
